35th GREEK SHORT FILM FESTIVAL IN DRAMA 17-22 September 2012
1. The CULTURAL ORGANISATION- SHORT FILM FESTIVAL IN DRAMA organizes the 35th GREEK SHORT FILM FESTIVAL IN DRAMA from 17 to 22 September 2012 in the city of Drama. Its aims are the promotion of cinema art, the cultural decentralization and the diffusion of the Greek short films. 2. Conditions for entry: b) The final print of screening is in 16mm, 35mm, BETA or DCP format. d) Only one film per participant will be accepted. e) All films and videos of all genres are accepted. Once selected, entries cannot be withdrawn from competition by the filmmaker or producer for any reason whatsoever (non selection, objections concerning the order of screening etc). The final screening copy should be submitted by the 31st of August 2012, otherwise the film will be excluded from screening. c) The Festival undertakes the return of the films (DCPs, Betas or film prints) 15 days after the end of the event “The Festival in Drama is on road”. The Festival is not responsible for keeping the prints after the fixed period of 15 days. In exceptional cases a film is possible to be returned in Drama after the end of the Festival, at the request of the producer in writing.
b) The screening of the films at a cinema theater or tv channel before or during the Festival is prohibited. (with the exception of the scheduled screenings of the festival). c) The Jury is obliged to draw up a statement with the names of the present members and to mention explicitly a possible absence or impediment of a member.. The original minutes are kept with the Secretariat of the Festival. 6. AWARDS GOLDEN DIONYSUS AWARD “GREEKS OF THE WORLD – Socrates Dimitriadis” AWARD FOR THE BEST DOCUMENTARY AWARD FOR THE BEST STUDENT FILM AWARD FOR THE BEST NEWCOMER DIRECTOR The Jury may also award other honorary distinctions for specific artistic achievements. Each prize is awarded to a single film and cannot be awarded ex aequo.
b) The festival reserves the right to digitalize the submitted films for the needs of the Film Market and its Archive. c) Film excerpts that might be broadcasted on television or the internet, should not exceed a duration of 3 minutes or 10% of the total running time of the film. d) The Festival reserves the right to publicize information about the film, including the contacts of the film director and the producer. e) For the promotion and distribution of the films, after the end of its annual edition, the Festival may publish a special compilation dvd (under private contract with the producer of each film). b) All films must be returned from the Festival Premises 15 days after the special event “The Festival travels in Athens”. The Festival undertakes the insurance and transportation cost (Athens – Drama - Athens) for this period. b) Any dispute concerning the present regulations will be judged and settled by the President of the Festival.
