She was born in Trieste on 26th October 1962. In 1998 she completed her University degree in Literature. During the period 1996 - 2000 she was the President of the International Short film Festival Cortinametraggio. Since 2000 she is the President of Maremetraggio International Short and Debut Work FilmFestival.

Her company "Maddalena Mayneri Produzioni" has produced 3 shorts films:

• "Amori in transito" by Stefano Calvagna, with Beatrice Luzzi,
• "L'appArenza" by Davide Dapporto, with Massimo Dapporto,
• and "24 ore" with Paolo Giani. This film has been realized during a master course in cinematography, for university students.

In 2003 she created the “Reef Comunicazione s.r.l.” company, along with Chiara Valenti Omero, specializing in productions, cinema events, and Press office services.
