Manoussos Manoussakis transferred this fairytale to the big screen, placing on the background a very bright Greece, largely unknown to most. A 17-year old boy – blessed by nature with courage and beautiful looks – leaves his village to seek Scarecrow, a beautiful fairy that is feared by everybody. He travels to a magical world inhabited by ghosts, spirits, demons and fairies. This world is revealed to our hero, who has never ever felt sorrow or happiness, true love or desire. Furthermore, this magical world manages to affect both young and older viewers, by putting them in deep thought and filling them with optimism.
