Ph.D. in Art Criticism, is a critic and journalist whose name has often appeared in specialized editions, on the radio and the TV screen for three decades now. She has been always delving into the problems of arts, culture and media. In 1992 she was appointed Chief Editor of the national weekly for education and culture "ABC". She teaches Theory of Cinematography and Mass Media in different colleges and institutes. She has been a member of the European Society of Culture in Venice since 1996. For years she has been a member of juries at international film festivals: France, Italy, Russia, Iran, Greece, Serbia and Montenegro... She has written a number of books, studies, artistic portraits, articles, critiques published in the country and abroad. Some of the major works are: From Literature to Screen (1981), One hour with… (1981), Cinema - Art or Auction (1986), The Screen - Arena of Opinions and Fates (1989), The Role of Bulgarian Culture in The World Civilization (2003) and The great masters of the modern cinema (2007). All her books have been followed by positive criticism and enjoyed success. |
