VADIM KHRAPATSEV

He was born 1947 in Kiev.

He started his career in cinematography in 1973. His first movie was “Staraya krepost” “The Old Fortress”, fiction, TV series.

By now he has made scores for 87 films including 52 features and TV series, 22 animations, 13 documentaries. A lot of them were awarded with different prizes and Grand Prizes (more then 100) at several IFF around the world. One of them “Zashchitnik Sedov “ ”Council for the Defense Sedov” has won Prize of British Cinema Academy (BAFTA) for the best short fiction of the year 1988. Besides, he is the author of a Symphony and several chamber compositions.
